Floral Design Operations Certificate of Achievement

The Floral Design Operations Certificate at Cuyamaca College provides students with foundational and advanced skills in floral arrangement, event-specific design, and industry experience.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
  1. Create professional floral arrangements using fundamental and advanced design techniques.
  2. Design floral compositions for various occasions, including weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations.
  3. Apply industry standards in flower selection, handling, and care to ensure quality and longevity.
  4. Apply business and customer service skills relevant to the floral industry, including pricing, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
  5. Gain hands-on experience through work-based learning, preparing them for employment or entrepreneurship in the floral design field.
  6. Understand the principles of small business management, equipping them to start or manage a floral business successfully.
